Har du som anställd hos Northvolt drabbats av konkursen?

Så här gör du för att söka a-kassa

• Skriv in dig på Arbetsförmedlingen så snart som möjligt, även om du har uppsägningstid kvar. 
• Logga in på Mina sidor hos oss och sök ersättning genom att fylla i och skicka in Ansökan om ersättning.
• Skicka in ett arbetsgivarintyg för de 12 senast arbetade månaderna. Arbetsgivarintyget begär du av Northvolt. Tänk på att göra det så snart som möjligt efter konkursen, det kan blir svårt att få kontakt med någon ansvarig på företaget vid ett senare skede.
• Skicka in en kopia på beslut om statlig lönegaranti till oss - den får du av konkursförvaltaren.
• Skicka in din tidrapport till oss i Mina sidor - den är en del av din ansökan.
• Registrera vilket bankkonto du vill ha ersättningen utbetald till hos kontoregistret på Swedbank.

Lönegaranti, ett skydd för dig som inte fått din lön vid konkurs

Om du får lönegaranti betraktas du inte som arbetslös och kan alltså inte få ersättning från a-kassan. Det beror på att tid med lönegaranti betraktas som arbete. Vi kan därför räkna med den tiden när du söker ersättning.

Under tiden du har lönegaranti kan du anmäla dig som arbetssökande och påbörja din ansökan till oss.

Konkursförvaltaren fattar beslut om rätt till lönegaranti

På beslutet om lönegaranti kan du se hur länge du omfattas av lönegarantin. Du får beslutet och arbetsgivarintyg från konkursförvaltaren. Om du vill veta vem som är förvaltare kan du vända dig till tingsrätten som fattat konkursbeslutet.

För att ha rätt till lönegaranti måste du vara aktivt arbetssökande. Så snart du blir uppsagd ska du alltså anmäla dig på Arbetsförmedlingen.

Wage Guarantee and Unemployment Benefits

This is a guide for employees at Northvolt who have been affected by their bankruptcy.
Since Northvolt has filed for bankruptcy, we want to inform those affected on how to apply for compensation from us.

How to apply for unemployment benefits

• Register with the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) as soon as possible, even if you still have a notice period.
• Log in to Mina sidor here on our website and apply for benefit.
• Submit an employer certificate (arbetsgivarintyg) for the last 12 months worked. Request the employer certificate from Northvolt. Do this as soon as possible after the bankruptcy, as it may be difficult to contact someone responsible at the company later.
• Submit a copy of the decision on state wage guarantee (beslut om statlig lönegaranti) to us - you will receive this from the bankruptcy trustee.
• Submit your time report (tidrapport) to us in Mina sidor - it is part of your application.
• Register the bank account you want the compensation paid to with the account register at Swedbank (Swedbanks kontoregister).

Wage Guarantee, a protection for you who have not received your salary in case of bankruptcy

If you receive a wage guarantee, you are not considered unemployed and therefore cannot receive unemployment benefits. This is because the time with wage guarantee is considered as work. We can therefore count that time when you apply for compensation.

However, you can register as a job seeker and start your application with us during the time you have a wage guarantee.

The bankruptcy trustee decides on the right to wage guarantee

On the decision of wage guarantee, you can see how long you are covered by the wage guarantee. You will receive the decision and employer certificate from the bankruptcy trustee. If you want to know who the trustee is, you can contact the district court that made the bankruptcy decision.

To be eligible for wage guarantee, you must be actively seeking work. Therefor you should register with the Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) as soon as you are laid off.

If the wage guarantee does not cover the entire notice period

If you reach the maximum amount of the wage guarantee, we can test the right to unemployment benefits even if you still have a notice period. If you cannot receive a wage guarantee that covers your entire notice period, you can be considered unemployed when the period with wage guarantee is over.

If your employment contract has a longer notice period than the wage guarantee covers, the remaining notice salary becomes a claim to the employer that should be handled just like all other claims in the bankruptcy. If you later receive payment for your wage claim, you are obliged to inform us, as you may need to repay the unemployment compensation you received for the same period.
